Today I assisted/shot my first wedding of the summer and I forgot how much

I LOVE weddings.

Everyone is smiling, and hugging and having a good time.

My favorite part of weddings (besides the food) is watching the groom when he looks at his bride.

Tonight every time groom looked at the bride his face lit up.

You could tell by the look in his eyes and the way he smiled that he was so madly in love with her.

Then after dinner he gave a toast and I can't even explain how adorable it was.

He was talking about how gorgeous she is and how he was so happy to be married to the girl of his dreams.

I was fighting back the tears.

If witnessing love gives me an indescribable feeling, I can't image what the real thing is like.

Enthusiastic.

^This is exactly how I feel about myself at the moment.

Looking at who I am right now, after my first year of college, I am a completely different person from the girl I was a year ago.

But I still think more change is in store for me.

In about 3 months I will embark on the biggest adventure of my life to date.

I couldn't be more thrilled.

As much as I love my life in the Midwest, I feel I must pursue bigger and better things.

My dreams are just too cramped here.

And even if California is not all I am expecting it to be, I know I have a place to come back to.

A place where I can build myself up just in time for my next adventure.

Minnesota will always be home.

THE MAINE IS COMING TO MINNESOTA!

To be honest I was a little bummed when their tour schedule came out and Minnesota wasn't on the list. But today I went on their facebook page (as I often do) and when I saw that they posted a date for St. Paul, my jaw dropped and my heart skipped a beat.

I seriously can't believe it.

I really shouldn't let a boy band get me so riled up but I just can't help it.

Cupid's arrow really hit me hard this time.

Kate Nash is great.

Her "I don't need a man to make me happy" lyrics are inspirational.

Plus they're quite catchy.

My friend Brit was in Moorhead today.

She is on the Winona State T&F team and they were completing in Moorhead this weekend.

It was really nice to see and chat with her for a couple of minutes.

It was also nice to be inside a track again.

Today was the first time I was by a track since my last T&F meet last year.

Whoa.

Watching the competitors warm up and run their events made me really miss being an athlete.

(^That's me!)

T&F was something I loved, but I think part of growing up is making decisions and sacrificing things you love to chase your dreams.

Even though it hurts, I believe I made the right choice.
