Uncoordinated.

Softball tournament, blackout, ambulance ride, worried family, awesome friends, CT scan, helicopter ride, barfing, ER, more CT scans, intensive care, IV's, liquid diet, anti-seizure meds, no balance, loss of immediate memory, sore head.
My weekend didn't go as planned.
Yikes.
Brain injuries aren't very fun.

Sprightly.

I started running again.
Slow but steady.
My mom is my motivator.
She started dieting & exercising before I got home & has already lost almost 20lbs!
Go Carrie!
To be honest, I don't care to lose any weight but it feels really good to be active again.
This is my new gear.

Lucky.

To my darling mother,
If I could, I would have repositioned the states to be with you today.
I hope you sat back and relaxed while everyone else waited on you for a change.
With all the love in my heart, I wish you a Happy Mother's Day.

Sincerely,
The most grateful daughter in the world

Vacated.

My dad and older brothers made me a very happy daughter/sister this past weekend when they came to visit.
We traveled all the way up the coast to San Francisco.
^This place was absolutely surreal. If I could live there I totally would.
I fell in love with this city.
Then after we accomplished all of touristy goals we took a couple of days and make our way back to L.A.
Thanks for the great time boys!

Jolly.

All the stores are setting out decorations and playing carols, so I think this is the perfect time to establish my Christmas list...

Wrist warmers
{real mittens aren't necessary during a west coast winter}
Fur scarf
{faux of course}
Black zip wedges
{drool}
But what I would like most is to be back in Minnesota and enjoy the holiday with my family.
One month and 2 days!

Merry [Part 2 of 3]

These are my siblings.
I love them.
I decided to use my 'talent' and create gifts for my parents instead of buy them, since I am a poor college student.
And this is how they turned out.
I am very pleased.
I have yet to photograph myself. I have been procrastinating on that task because I am WAY more comfortable behind the camera rather than in front of it.

Anyways...
I can't sleep. I have the weirdest sleeping patterns when I don't have any classes to go to.
I seriously can't believe how lazy I have been lately.
And all I seem to want to do in eat.
Ugh :/
I am really trying to tame that beast but it much easier said than done.
I am really trying to be more active but it is never enough.
I am out of shape.
It kinda bums be out sometimes but I am still so over joyed that I am home and it is Christmas.
So it evens out.
:)

I am going to attempt to go to sleep.
Stay tuned, even more pictures to come
Ta ta for now.

Merry [Part 1 of 3]

My first semester of college is over.
I am home now and I can't explain how happy that makes me feel.
Today we went down to Sherburn, MN to have our Christmas with Bret's mom. It was nice to see everybody especially my big brothers.
To my surprise I got a new mouse for my Macbook!
I have been wanting one for a while now.
:)
I think I am getting into the Christmas spirit more, but I am still not 100% like I usually am during this time of the year.
Maybe college is transforming me into a scrooge.
Great.
Stay tuned, pictures will be posted soon.

Content.

I am back at MSUM.

I had a truly amazing Thanksgiving break.

After sitting in the backseat between two guys for 4 hours last Tuesday, I made it home and it felt sort of surreal being there. I loved it. I chatted with my parents and my sister for a while and then two of my greatest friends came over. For about 3-4 hours we just sat and talked (along with torturing Mandy's boyfriend). It was really nice to see their faces and hear their voices. It was a really comforting time because we didn't do anything and it was so fun! That is the best part of seeing old friends.

Wednesday was pretty eventful for me. I got to take my sister to school in the morning and then I met up with another friend to go back to our High School and visit the best teacher EVER! Mrs. Bishop. I hadn't been in that building since I graduated to it was really weird coming back and being "those college kids" that the seniors whisper about. After that it was time for me to FINALLY get my hair cut! I am so pleased with the result, I think I am going to keep this one for a long time...but I always say that. Then (oh yeah there's more) I went shopping with some more great friends. Not only did I get some great deals at Gap but there was good conversation as well. After shopping I can back to town and hang out with a different friend. It really was a perfect day. I am looking forward to many more like it over X-mas break.

For the rest of the weekend I spent my time at home, catching up with my family. We rented movies, went out to eat and relaxed. It was so nice. There really is nothing like home.

It was really hard for me to pack my stuff back up and leave NP this morning. If I could have I would have stayed forever.

Don't get me wrong I love college, and being on my own but my heart is at that little brown house on top of the hill, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Thank the heavens above that I don't have to wait long until I go back for X-mas break.

19 days.

I think I can handle that.

I will leave you with another image that I find quite inspiring.

(It seemed appropriate)

Stay tuned...finals are coming up, and things are going to get crazy.

Thankful.

Well since Thanksgiving is almost upon us I thought I would make a list of what I am thankful for:

1. My Parents : I would be completely lost without all three of them.

2. My Brothers : They are wonderful role models, I aspire to be as good of a person as they both are.

3. My Sister : I am thankful for her simple, loving letters. They always put a smile on my face.
4. Olivia Wagner : Who taught me everything I know and without whom I would not be so positive about my future with photography.

5. Hannah Honeyman : My first college friend/internal twin. I would be very lonely here without her. Also I am thankful that she shares her Wheat Thins with me.

6. Summit Entertainment : The people that gave New Moon life :)

7. My job : I work on campus in Disability Services, it helps not to be extremely poor and it is a wonderful opportunity.

8. Ramen Noodles : Need I say more?!

9. High School Friends : I am extremely thankful for those of you who have kept in touch even only after these few short months

10. My Macbook : She's my pride and joy, and like my parents, I would be lost without her.

1 more day
:)

Stay Tuned...

Scared.

Yesterday I found out that my mom passed out...again.

Not many people know this but about a year ago or maybe longer, she passed for a long time in our bathroom at home. I have never been so terrified. She got a special monitor put into her chest because the doctors didn't know why this was happening to her. They thought it was something to do with her heart but they were not positive because it could have been something in her brain too. So when she passed out at work yesterday the monitor picked up the problem.

Her heart stopped for about 10 seconds.

Good thing she works at a hospital that specializes in Cardiology. Last night she was able to get a pace maker put in which will sort of shock her heart if she ever passes out again. After I found out what was going on I had the worst feeling in my stomach. I wanted so badly to be with her just to comfort her and put my nerves to rest. I just wanted to hear her voice, smell her Miss Cherie Dior perfume, and give her a hug.

After her surgery I got calls from my step dad and a text from my oldest brother, Dan, saying that all is well and she will be home in the morning. I am so relieved. The doctors know what is wrong with her and so now they can fix her.

P.S. Today is her birthday.

I love you Mom.
