Fervid.

Tonight I was asked who my favorite artist was.
Without hesitation this man's name came out of my mouth.
Andy Warhol is a major contributor in my decision to study art.
But after I gave it some thought, I realized I have so many favorites now that I am more educated on the subject.
[In no particular order]
Toulouse Lautrec
Edgar Degas
Alfred Sieglitz
Jacques-Louis David
Banksy
Claude Monet
Gustav Klimt
Damien Hirst
Artemisia Gentileschi
Claes Oldenburg

Just to name a few.

Nerdier.

Today was another museum day.
The LA County Museum to be specific.
A combination of classic and contemporary art.
It's a place of wonder.

This took my breath away...
Cupid playing with a butterfly, 1802
Antoine-Denis Chaudet

Gorgeous.

Bored.

Today has been a pretty lazy day.
I woke up at noon, ate lunch, showered, and hung out with my family.
Since they go to bed at eight o'clock (they're lame), I had to find something to do to occupy my time.
So being an art major I decided to make something.
This is the result:
I was inspired by an imgfav picture.
It is a little weird but I really like the way it tuned out.
I am planning on making a bunch to frame in a series.
Stay tuned...

Gutsy.

Basic Drawing I
Final Project

(slightly different angle, but you get the jist)

(the back of a plaster head wrapped in fabric)

Yep.
I drew that.
Trust me, I am just as shocked as you are.
I am so incredibly proud of myself with this one.
I don't really know how it turned out so well but I am glad it did.

Here's the finished product:
